The Ghana Police Service has apprehended 26 individuals for brandishing and indiscriminately firing toy guns in a public place. This alarming act, which is reportedly becoming a trend in some parts of the country, prompted swift action from law enforcement.
The suspects are currently assisting the police with investigations and are set to be arraigned in court to face justice. A significant quantity of toy guns has been seized from the suspects as evidence during the ongoing investigation.

In a press release, the Ghana Police Service cautioned the youth against such behavior, emphasizing that it constitutes offensive conduct conducive to breaches of the peace under Section 207 of the Criminal Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29).
The police also assured the public of intensified operations to apprehend others involved in similar activities. Their statement reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace and security across the country.
The Police Service reiterated its dedication to ensuring public safety and called on all citizens to join hands in fostering a peaceful and law-abiding society.
