Employment Minister Inaugurates New Office Complex for FWSC

The Minister of Employment, Labour Relations and Pensions, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah, has officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art office complex for the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC) in a ceremony held on Friday, November 15.

This new facility is part of the government’s broader initiative to enhance the working conditions of public institutions and improve their operational efficiency. The Minister emphasized the government’s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive environment that ensures fair wages, decent work, and increased productivity across the public sector.

The new office complex, which was envisioned by President Akufo-Addo, is equipped with modern amenities designed to enhance the FWSC’s ability to serve the public more effectively. The upgraded space is intended to help the Commission carry out its critical responsibilities in advising the government on wage policies, salaries, and conditions of service for public sector workers.

Mr. Baffour-Awuah noted that the improved facility would play a key role in boosting the Commission’s capacity to fulfill its mandate, ensuring that workers’ rights and compensation are fairly addressed. He expressed confidence that the new office would foster a sense of pride and efficiency among the Commission’s staff.

The Minister concluded by urging the FWSC staff to uphold high standards of service to justify the investment in the new building. “You can have the best office, but if the service is poor, it means nothing,” he remarked, urging the staff to take full advantage of the facility to ensure effective service delivery and contribute to the government’s goal of improving public sector productivity.
