The Ministry of Education has officially announced the release of the 2024/25 school placement results for students transitioning to Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions. This announcement opens the opportunity for thousands of students to check their school placements and prepare for admission in the upcoming academic year.
Based on data from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), 563,339 results were submitted for the placement process. Out of these, 553,155 candidates qualified for placement, and of this group, 447,698 students—representing 80.93%—were successfully placed into one of their chosen schools.
However, around 104,918 qualified students did not receive placement in any of their selected choices. To support these students, the Ministry has activated the Self-Placement platform, allowing them to choose from schools with available spots.
For those checking their placement status, the Ministry provided the following steps:
- Visit the official CSSPS website at https://www.cssps.gov.gh or https://www.cssps.org.
- Enter the ten-digit index number followed by the year of completion (e.g., 123456789024 for 2024).
- Submit the information to view the placement results.
The Ministry has also set up resources for public assistance, including the National Solution Centre at GNAT Hall in Adabraka, Accra, and 16 Regional Solution Centres across the country. For additional support, students and parents may call the helpline at 0308258001 for guidance on placement-related inquiries.
The release of these placement results marks an essential milestone for students nationwide as they prepare to embark on their next phase of education.
