Madam Akua Donkor, the founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), has died at the age of 72. A family member confirmed her passing to MyJoyOnline.com, revealing that she died on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Ridge Hospital in Accra.
Akua Donkor was well-known for her spirited presence in Ghanaian politics, where she became a symbol of resilience and advocacy for the rights of farmers and women.
