In a small community along the Kumasi-Sunyani road, a remarkable young girl is drawing attention for a skill far beyond her years. At just three years old, Nancy Owusu has amazed both residents and social media users with her ability to braid hair effortlessly.
Unlike most children her age who spend their free time playing, Nancy prefers to sit among hairstylists, carefully twisting and weaving strands of hair with surprising precision. What started as simple curiosity has turned into a passion that many believe is a natural gift.
Nancy’s mother, Amina Yakubu, recalls how it all began. “One afternoon, she returned from school and insisted on helping us braid a customer’s hair. At first, I didn’t take her seriously, but she was determined. When she woke up from her nap, she joined us again, and to my surprise, she knew exactly what to do,” Amina said.

Since then, Nancy has become a sensation in her community. Customers visit her mother’s beauty parlour not just for hair services but also to witness the little girl’s incredible talent. Some even wait until she returns from school just to have their hair touched by her tiny but skillful hands.
Beyond her local fame, Nancy has gained widespread recognition on social media. Thanks to her relative-turned-manager, Ebenezer Akobilla, her videos have reached over two million views and earned her more than 320,000 followers.
“I wanted the world to see how special she is,” Ebenezer shared. “I hope she continues perfecting her craft so that even if her mother isn’t around, she can carry on with this skill.”
Nancy’s story has left many people in awe, including a local resident, Obaa Tina, who couldn’t believe her eyes when she first saw the little girl at work. “I was speechless! How can a three-year-old braid hair so well?” she exclaimed.
What makes Nancy’s story even more inspiring is her enthusiasm and love for what she does. While most children are still figuring out their interests, Nancy has already found her passion, one that could shape her future in incredible ways. For now, she continues to balance school with her newfound talent, proving that sometimes, destiny reveals itself early, even in the tiniest of hands.
