Woman Stabs Boyfriend for Greeting Another Woman

A 23-year-old man from Argentina, Mariano Grinspun, was tragically killed by his girlfriend in González Catán, Buenos Aires province, after a simple greeting to another woman sparked a violent outburst. The incident occurred on October 21, when Grinspun and his 32-year-old girlfriend, Natacha Palavecino, were walking together and encountered an old schoolmate of his who greeted him.

Palavecino, overtaken by jealousy, reacted by pulling out a hidden knife and attacking the woman, identified as “LC” by local media. LC suffered a slash across her armpit and managed to block further stabs with her hand. A passerby intervened, preventing more harm to LC, but Palavecino then turned her rage on Grinspun, stabbing him in the chest.

Surveillance footage captured the couple arguing for several minutes, during which Grinspun repeatedly collapsed from his injuries. Despite calls to emergency services, his life could not be saved.

The investigation has since uncovered a history of violent behavior by Palavecino. In 2021, she served a one-year prison sentence for stabbing a previous boyfriend. Grinspun had previously reported her for threats and physical abuse, resulting in a restraining order that later expired, after which he resumed their relationship.

Palavecino now faces severe legal consequences for the murder of Grinspun and the attempted murder of LC.
