Nkwanta North NDC Hosts “John and John Victory Health Walk” to Rally Support for December 7 Elections

On November 5, 2024, the Member of Parliament for the Nkwanta North Constituency, Hon. John Kwabena Oti Bless, joined with his constituency executives to organize a “John and John Victory Health Walk” in Kpassa. This event, which drew thousands of National Democratic Congress (NDC) supporters and sympathizers, marked the official kick-off of the campaign efforts for both the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, and the parliamentary candidate for Nkwanta North, Hon. Oti Bless himself, ahead of the December 7 polls.

The Victory Health Walk showcased the NDC’s energized base, with participants walking several kilometers to demonstrate their loyalty and commitment to the party’s goal of securing victory in 2024. NDC members and supporters from across the Oti Region, including party and government officials as well as regional executives, attended the event, reflecting the party’s unity and determination.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, MP John Oti Bless urged supporters to intensify their efforts in rallying votes for John Mahama and the NDC. He emphasized the need to work harder than ever, highlighting the importance of every vote in ensuring the party’s success in both the presidential and parliamentary elections. Hon. Bless criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), accusing them of failing to deliver on their promises to the people of Nkwanta North and neglecting the constituency in key areas of development, including the allocation of district offices.

During his recent tour of Nkwanta North, NDC presidential candidate John Dramani Mahama stressed the need for fairness in the distribution of national resources, accusing the NPP of bias that has hindered the region’s progress. In his address, Mahama unveiled the party’s proposed National Apprenticeship Program, designed to provide young Ghanaians with hands-on training in skilled trades through paid apprenticeships, thereby enhancing employment opportunities and workforce skills. He also pledged to prioritize the completion of ongoing projects in Nkwanta North, improve road infrastructure, and address the district’s development needs.

In a gesture of appreciation, former President Mahama bestowed a new nickname on Hon. John Oti Bless, calling him “Miracle Boy,” symbolizing his dedication and relentless pursuit of progress for his constituency.

The NDC’s “John and John Victory Health Walk” was more than a rally; it was a powerful demonstration of solidarity and commitment to the party’s vision for Ghana. With the December elections drawing closer, supporters in Nkwanta North are poised to continue mobilizing in support of the NDC’s leadership, ensuring that every voice and every vote counts in the upcoming polls.
