“Divine Bosson: Re-electing Mahama as President Would Hinder National Development”

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive and Ho Central NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Divine Bosson, has asserted that re-electing National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer John Mahama would be detrimental to the nation’s development.

Speaking at a rally in Ho, Volta Region, Bosson emphasized that Ghanaians have already experienced Mahama’s leadership and were dissatisfied, which led to his ousting in 2016. He declared that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the right candidate to lead the country to greater heights and urged voters to support him in the upcoming elections.

“According to Ewe and Ghanaian customs and traditions, you don’t destool a chief and then reinstate him; that would be an abomination. In 2016, we destooled President Mahama, and he will never return to the presidency,” he stated.

Bosson expressed confidence in reclaiming the Ho Central Constituency seat from the opposition NDC on December 7, highlighting that he has introduced new dynamics to politics in the area, making the NDC’s position more competitive.

“For the first time in the history of the NDC, they are facing a serious challenge in Ho Central. The National Executives have turned Ho Central into their sleeping place. If they like, they can come and build here. Whether they agree or not, we will defeat them in 2024,” he stressed.

He urged voters to prioritize development and progress by electing him as the Member of Parliament for Ho Central and supporting Dr. Bawumia for the presidency.

“On December 7, vote for Divine Bosson and Dr. Bawumia. We are number one on the ballot paper,” he concluded.
