Transfer Buzz

Real Madrid have made another statement of intent, securing 17-year-old Argentine sensation Franco Mastantuono from River Plate for €45 million. He is set to join the club immediately after the FIFA Club World Cup. Madrid have also welcomed Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth and signed Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free transfer. They’re not done yet—talks are progressing with Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi, while Álvaro Carreras is being considered to reinforce their left-back position. Meanwhile, forward Rodrygo is being courted by Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Manchester United, the Red Devils have completed the signing of Matheus Cunha from Wolves for £62.5 million. United are also eyeing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo,  though an initial bid was rejected. Viktor Gyökeres remains on their shortlist, and surprisingly, the club is exploring a move for Marc-André ter Stegen as uncertainty grows around André Onana.

In North London, Arsenal are pursuing Benjamin Šeško and considering Kepa Arrizabalaga as backup in goal. They’ve pulled out of the Zubimendi race but continue to monitor Nico Williams, who reportedly prefers to remain in Spain.

Over at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are investing in youth. The Blues have secured Liam Delap from Ipswich and welcomed future stars Estevao and Dário Essugo. However, there’s concern over Christopher Nkunku, who may be on his way to Bayern Munich. Chelsea have also shown interest in goalkeeper Mike Maignan and have declined a deal for Jadon Sancho.
