Ghanaian actor Richard Kweku Asante, popularly known as Kalybos, has opened up about why his five-year relationship with ex-girlfriend Frimpongmaa didn’t lead to marriage.
Speaking on the Girl’s Aloud podcast, Kalybos revealed that the relationship ended because things weren’t working out as he had hoped.
“Being in a relationship for a longer period doesn’t mean you have to settle with the person no matter what. When you assess yourself and something is not going the way you want, then [you walk out],” he explained.
When asked specifically if things weren’t going as he wanted with Frimpongmaa, he responded, “No, it wasn’t.”
Kalybos is now happily married to his wife, Antwiwaa Owusu Asante, and the couple recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Sharing the milestone on Instagram on November 11, 2024, Kalybos posted a heartfelt message alongside cherished moments from their union.
“11:11 is a YEAR OLD today. Happy Anniversary to us My Mrs Owusu Asante. May this special day be a reminder of all the beautiful moments you’ve shared and a celebration of the journey ahead.
