A Burkinabe national, Boigouna Aloys, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by the High Court in Accra for the murder of his German girlfriend, Claudia Weizmann, and her 13-year-old daughter at Kokrobite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 47-year-old was convicted on two counts of murder following a trial in which the prosecution, led by Yvonne Yaache-Adomako, presented testimonies from five witnesses. A seven-member jury found Aloys guilty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aloys was arrested on October 8, 2020, after secretly killing and burying his 53-year-old girlfriend and her daughter in a wooded area near their residence. The police became involved after neighbors reported the sudden disappearance of Aloys and the two victims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Upon investigation, it was revealed that Aloys had a dispute with his girlfriend, during which he struck her on the head with a hammer. He then strangled her daughter to prevent her from informing authorities and buried both bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The police, after securing an exhumation order, conducted an autopsy, which confirmed the cause of death, leading to Aloys\u2019s arrest and eventual conviction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
