The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced that Ghana will host the 2024 Rugby Africa Women\u2019s Sevens tournament. This significant competition will serve as a qualifier for the 2025 Challenger Series and marks the first time West Africa will host this prestigious event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scheduled for November 9-10, 2024, the tournament will feature 12 national women\u2019s teams, including the reigning champions South Africa, along with teams from Kenya, Tunisia, Zimbabwe, Burkina Faso, Madagascar, Ghana, Mauritius, Uganda, Zambia, Senegal, and C\u00f4te d’Ivoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A statement from the Ministry expressed their excitement: \u201cThe Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Ghana is pleased to announce that Ghana will host the 2024 Rugby Africa Women\u2019s Sevens Tournament from Saturday, November 9 to Sunday, November 10, 2024. The Rugby Africa Women\u2019s Sevens is a premier continental competition played in the fast-paced sevens format, featuring teams of seven players in matches that consist of two halves, each lasting seven minutes.
