The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has emphasized the party\u2019s commitment to rebuilding Ghana\u2019s state institutions as a priority if it wins the December 7 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing a massive crowd at the NDC\u2019s final rally held at Zurak Park in Madina, Accra, on Thursday, December 5, Mr. Nketia underscored the importance of restoring governance and accountability structures to ensure sustainable development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs far as I am concerned, resetting our state institutions\u2014those responsible for governance, accountability, and natural resource management\u2014is far more crucial than isolated development projects,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mr. Nketia outlined the NDC\u2019s vision to rebuild and strengthen institutions that are critical for national progress. He urged Ghanaians to support the party\u2019s approach to laying a strong foundation for lasting development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn the first year, let us focus on resetting the institutions of governance and democracy in this country. When we get these institutions right, any development we undertake will be sustainable and impactful,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The NDC chairman warned of the dangers of neglecting state institutions, noting that no development agenda could succeed in the face of institutional decay. He called on Ghanaians to join the NDC\u2019s mission to restore integrity and efficiency to these critical pillars of democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLeaving our institutions in their current state of disrepair will only undermine any progress we hope to achieve. It is time to act decisively to fix them,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
