The former president urged Ghanaians to support Bawumia, citing his economic expertise and track record as key attributes that could bolster the nation\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cConsidering the present global context, I genuinely believe Ghana\u2019s economy would witness substantial growth if Bawumia were elected as President,\u201d Kufuor said. \u201cWith divine guidance, he is more than capable of fulfilling this promise, and I urge you to back his candidacy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kufuor also highlighted Bawumia\u2019s contributions during his presidency as part of the Bank of Ghana team under Governor Dr. Paul Acquah.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have observed his remarkable economic skills, which played a critical role in stabilizing our national currency during my tenure,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alan Kyerematen\u2019s Response<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking on Oyerepa TV on Monday, November 18, Alan Kyerematen expressed disappointment in Kufuor\u2019s endorsement, arguing that it compromises the neutrality expected from a statesman of his stature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cKufuor is my uncle, and I hesitate to publicly criticize him,\u201d Kyerematen began. \u201cHowever, his endorsement has cast a significant shadow over his political career. His comments have sparked negative reactions and widespread criticism.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kyerematen warned that Kufuor\u2019s involvement in active partisan politics could erode the respect and reverence he commands across Ghana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cPresident Kufuor has long been a respected figure in Ghana. Why would he choose to engage in partisan politics in this manner?
